Old Wall Coming Out

So the old wall is coming out and the new beam, which is 24 1/2 feet long, 16 inches deep and 8 inches wide, will go in today. The photos are of the temporary wall they built last night to hold the ceiling up when the take the old wall out and put them new support (the beam) in. Make sense?
